The McKeen Motor Car. A railroad motorcar many years ahead of its time. Built in 1906, this fantastical looking machine was bought by many railroads, particularly Union Pacific and Southern Pacific.  Excellent collection of photos of by Marty Brenard.  I personally love the “wind-splitter” design as described in period advertisements (before the term “streamlined” was coined.) with the brass portholes and imposing cow-catcher (pilot).
