I visited the National Railway Museum at Port Adelaide, South Australia.  It was one of the best I’ve been to because they allowed you to climb in the locomotives and turn valves and open and close firebox doors.  That old iron has taken a century of beatings and I don’t understand why other museums put it behind velvet ropes.
In the gift shop they were selling old original film photographs from some railfan who had died and bequeathed them to the museum.  I bought this photo for a few cents, on the back it says
“Penang Hill Railway - old car- 4 . 1 . 78”
Undoubtedly the Penang Hill Railway in Georgetown, Malaysia.  Each door leads naturally to your cabin or berth, separated by class.  The funicular is still in operation but looks much sleeker these days.  There is no other copy of this photo so I thought I’d scan it to preserve it for the ages.  I love funiculars!
